Binx Nuts are all metal, prevailing torque type self-locking nuts with the locking action provided by two slots cut into the side of the nut.
The locking action of this locknut works on the diameter and the thread pitch, which counters loosening via stress or via vibrations. It’s also incorporated into a nut head that is no bigger than a standardised nut, making it ideal for places where there are size restrictions.
It is re-usable as the torque resistance provided by the Binx Nut remains after a number of uses within an application.
This style of locknut is manufactured in Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Brass as standard.
