A heavy duty double coil spring washer with two-turn spiral ring.
When the bolt is tightened it compresses the washer like a spring creating tension between the nut and head of the bolt.
These are used to prevent fastening or loosening of the bolt due to vibrations or when used with expanding and contracting materials.
